Fordyce, Nebraska is a small village located in Cedar County in the northeastern part of the state. According to the US Census Bureau, as of 2020, the population of Fordyce is just over 200 people. The village was incorporated in 1909 and is primarily an agricultural community, known for producing corn and soybeans. Fordyce is home to the Cedar County Fairgrounds, which hosts an annual fair featuring 4-H exhibits, livestock shows, and a rodeo. The village is also home to a public park with a playground and picnic area. The nearest larger cities to Fordyce are Yankton, South Dakota and Vermillion, South Dakota.
